NSF can become shooting champion ???

I think he got the idea there , but he thinks that our chiao RECRUIT can become olympic champion just because NSF has range practice ! Kind of simpleton

He is the joker of the day !

Well, they should participate in mordern pentathalon, which is suppose to mimic the things a soldier goes thru in war to deliver a message.

Not all will disagree if can train full-time and yet enjoy all the perks lah..:p.

The mighty SAF have the highest ratio of speckies compared with the little armies of other countries. No way for shooting. If the sport of 'chow keng' in introduced yes can confirm gold, silver and bronze for Singapore.

This Tan Cheng Yang is really too naive and must have never gone thru NS to understand what the hell is NS and the application of shooting to sports.

Most recruits churned out from BMT factory are just too raw to be talent scouted for finer shooting. No one can identify even if they come across one ; because no one is bothered about shooting but more on combat skills. Shooting in SAF is more of a chore to everyone. It is never fun on the ground level.

Even the conman Olympian Lee Wung Yew who boast about bringing a medal back actually spent 20 over years perfecting his skill to what he is today. He started when he was 16 and SAF did not refine him in his area of expertise.

So what make this Tan Cheng Yang thinks that NSF will gather better chances for Olympian material. By the time any NSF ROD, he is already half trained and fall out. No logic at all.
