Students' Goal Received Ruling & Opposition SUPPORTS in Parliament!
It appears that the legislative amendments sorted by the protesting students had received support from majority ruling as well as opposition parties in the Legislative House 立法院 aka parliament!
Now you learned how POWER & EFFECTIVE is it to protest LIVE on Internet? The support the got is global! This is the 6th day of their camping protest - by the sunrise (now 1am) . These students did great and I am so proudly supporting them!
Ruling party's hotshot MP Qiu Yi said that the KMT ruling party previously proposed similar amendments to these acts which these students are now protesting against. And the proposals of these students regarding these laws were already previously included in KMT's proposed amendments.
Legislator Qiu Yi said that the students had wrongly targeted the KMT. Because it was DPP that blocked the amendments. Qiu Yi had himself been put in prison by DPP govt for his protests under the same laws which are in question.
TBT-18 & myself are also charged under an identical set of crap LEEgime laws.
Earlier DPP ex-president ChenShuiBian went out to support the protesting students, but was snapped at by the students, demanding ChenShuiBian's apology that within his own 8 years as president, he did not sort to amend these oppressive laws and instead had been abusing them to arrest and charge Taiwanese activists.
KMT Legislator hotshot Qiu Yi in the above picture offered to give a Beef Noodle treat to media tomorrow if indeed it was true that ChenShuiBian would be detained under arrest for corruption charges tomorrow.
great for democracy and openness but bad as they probably are being make use of by the opposition, who is very corrupted.
if they want to get international's recognition, this is not the way.
they seem to forget that China is one of those 5 permanent UN's members that have veto power.

But you have achieved zero thus far and shall probably achieve zero in the future as well, because regardless of what you say, in actual fact you are unrealistic and impractical. Oh and a party pooper as well.

In your specific case, there is hardly any need for any "definition". The facts speak for themselves, loud and clear.
Let us see:
Apparently calling yourself Dr Chee's 'protocol' at the pre2006 GE general opposition meeting and being booted out thereafter; Publicly revealing P&C correspondence with regards to a private civil matrimonial/custody matter; solo public hunger strike that made schoolgirls laugh; appearing to be a party pooper in the TBT trial etc
Congratulations, job well done, Yap Keng Ho

This is an initial victory for the students who are now in I think their 6th day of protest demanding amendment on laws regulating Assembly & Procession. Taiwanese Parliamentary Legislator had fixed Friday 14.Nov.2008 to meet on the agenda of this legislative amendment. The student's demands had received the attention of their legislators. I say that THIS IS THE KIND OF LEGISLATORS THE PEOPLE NEED, the famiLEE LEEgime's parliament is however the exact opposite!
This is the best example of successful civil action by Taiwanese students, and I am touched. Singaporean students have a long way to go, and you must learn from your Taiwanese fellow students!
Taiwanese student's protest received not only the attention and action of their parliament yesterday, but today their education minister visited them.
Yesterday their parliament fixed agenda of the amendment of laws sorted by these student protesters, the parliament will meet on 14.Nov.2008 to act on changing the law that governs Assembly & Procession. Parliament also fixed 19.Nov.2008 onwards to review these laws that governs the permits for protests and marches.
The education minister 鄭瑞城 during early hours of this morning or late hours of last night, visited the protest site and met the students to show his concern for them. The minister was unrecognized initially by students, and had stopped him asking for his identity.
Students were shocked later to learn that it was their education minister who came to visit them at such late hours.
I ask Singaporeans to compare between famiLEE LEEgime & Taiwan, what kind of minister you got, what kind of parliament we got vs Taiwanese.
The latest things I read online includes that modelling contract offers is among the fame and good comments she received for this infamous shot. Her name is not even known at this moment. Some said she got the face of a star. Her beautiful pose in this shot is what made her an instant star in the Cyber Space.
She was among those students who were protesting (sit-in) in front of Ministerial Cabinet's Office aka 行政院. This group is part of the students who are protesting in many locations in Taiwan currently, some of them have been camping for the 6th day. See my other Blog News on this protest that is demanding for law on Assembly & Procession to be relaxed.
Singaporean activists are to take note of this the next time when famiLEE LEEgime matas come to carry you away. :-)
Re: Female Taiwanese Protester carried away by mata became Instant Star

Despite all these years and the amount of attention that you have sought and received, no one knows who you are and your background is really hazy as the day that you took stage.
You continue to hijack events of the opposition, you write nonsense about flowers next to toilets, you cast a shadow of comedy and sillyness on their cause and you sure know how to rain on a parade.
After parliamentarian actions, the students are still continuing their protest. Today Ma Ying Jiu affirm his own support to the legislative changes demanded by the student protesters on Assembly & Procession Laws. Ma asked students to abort their weeks of street protest & come to parliament for discussion on these legislative changes.
Ma said that he support the Civil Protest & Marches to be changed to Registration Basis instead of Permit Application. The current rejection rate for Permit Application is 0.23 only. On Registration Basis, means there is basically no rejection and Protests / Marches won't be turned down at any stage of application, as long as a Assembly / Procession is Registered it would be deemed as legal.
Please compare this against corrupted and incompetent coward famiLEE LEEgime of old dog thief Lee Kuan Yew.
Re: CLEAR VICTORY for Taiwanese Students' protest ASSEMBLY & PROCESSION Law Amendment
