I found this dying illustration of famiLEE LEEgime
:-) This plant could be called Cordyline, I am not sure. But I found it on the roadside today and filmed it.
It is I think an excellent illustration reflecting the famiLEE LEEgime's current condition.

From these pictures and video, you can see that it grew 3 tiny brunches (3cm diameters) out of a chopped off stump which is 12cm diameter. This showed it's life history is being similar with history of Singapore being chopped away from Malaysia in 1965.
The much larger Malaysia being the 1st foundation of Singapore is liken to the 12cm main stump. The newly grown 3cm brunches is liken to much smaller red dot.
The brown decaying leaves shows that it is not very healthy, same symptom as Singapore.
It would have collapsed and perished if not being supported by artificial limb the bamboo rods tied to the brunch. Singapore is living on borrowed time depending solely on foreign resources including FTs; water; sand; and others.
The best part is that it is very obvious that the reason why it is dying is because of rotten root deep down to the bottom! The foundation of famiLEE LEEgime is corrupted and incompetent that is how seriously it had decayed and corroded till only a tiny bit is left. It is thus very seriously unbalanced and at high risk of collapsing and perishing.
The supporting bamboo rod can only do so much to prolong and sustain it for a while. The corrupted decay is too serious and continuing to take away the live of this plant. The rotting crippled famiLEE LEEgime has very limited time left. :-)
