THE Public Complaints Bureau receives numerous complaints but one of the most disturbing was of a prostitute who asked her daughter to sleep with a customer, China Press reported.
This was disclosed by Deputy Minister in the Prime Minister's Department Datuk T. Murugiah during an interview with the daily on Wednesday.
He said the mother asked her daughter to sleep with the customer in order to please him.
Murugiah said in another case a couple sought his help to talk to their daughter who had chosen to become a prostitute to earn easy money.
"Most of the complaints we receive are related to gambling where family members claim the gamblers want to sell their children for money," he said, adding that the public could contact him at 019-600 3355.
He said he planned to hire a Chinese assistant as some Chinese did not file complaints due to the language barrier.
