It was swift and with relatively tiny price for a country of that size, within a day to one and a half day, the opposition with support of people fought out the corrupted and incompetent regime in Kyrgyzstan. I must congratulate them!

The ouster of the fled president Bakiyev was not peaceful but deadly, with relatively small death toll and minor damages, in my opinion very affordable. :-)

The population level of Kyrgyzstan is not far from Singapore, less than famiLEE LEEgime's target of 6.5M, they have 5+million. But their land is roughly the size of West Malaysia.

The opposition were initially unarmed and peacefully protesting, but the clashes with police broke out, they managed to overcome the police and took over their arms. The violence spread swiftly nation wide. But I expect the peace to be restored by tomorrow (Thursday) as opposition firmly seized power and formed provisional government with capable leadership. The PM had resigned and DPM is captured and the corrupted president Bakiyev had fled, his loyalists won't stand any more chance.

I hope Bakiyev can be also captured, then there will be no copycat Thug-Sin. :-D

If these economists knew what they were doing then world won't be like what it is today. :p

These so called economists are even less reliable than Feng Shui or Palm Reading.

I will save my breath to show much concern about Democracy via Economists' view. One line is enough:

The Simplest Majority Meaning of Economy to most people (who pay attention to Economists) is only about HOW TO GAIN MORE WITHOUT ACTUALLY CONTRIBUTING aka exploit others and take advantage. In Chinese when they said 很经济＝＝很划算＝＝很占便宜。That's all!

Unless you are just one of these people, otherwise, please ignore these concerns.

Baku – APA. President of Kyrgyzstan Kurmanbek Bakiyev has resigned from his post, Governor of Jalalabad province of the country Koshbay Masirov said at the meeting in the province, APA reports quoting Fergana.ru.Masirov said they would defend their townsman Bakiyev till the end.

Bakiyev is also expected to address the meeting. The committee on defense of Bakiyev’s rights was established in Jalalabad.

BISHKEK - Ousted Kyrgyz president Kurmanbek Bakiyev on Thursday left the country for neighbouring Kazakhstan, in a surprise move co-ordinated by Russia and the United States aimed at quelling flaring tensions.
Bakiyev made the dramatic late evening exit by plane from his home stronghold of Jalalabad in south Kyrgyzstan, the first time he had quit the country since violent protests that killed 84 swept him from power last week.
"This evening Kurmanbek Bakiyev flew out of Jalalabad on a plane to Kazakhstan," a source in Kyrgyzstan's interim government told AFP.
The Kyrgyz news agency AKI-Press reported that Bakiyev took off for Kazakhstan in a cargo plane at 1320 GMT while Russia's ITAR-TASS said he took with him close allies including his brother and an ex-defence minister.
Ilias Omarov, spokesman for the Kazakh foreign ministry, confirmed he was headed for Kazakhstan but said he had no information about Bakiyev's final destination.
Some reports said he was headed for the southern Kazakh city of Taraz.
The foreign minister of Kazakhstan, who currently holds the rotating chairmanship of the OSCE, a trans-Atlantic security body, said Bakiyev's flight had been jointly arranged by Russia and the United States.
"As a result of joint efforts of Kazakhstan's President Nursultan Nazarbayev, U.S. President Barack Obama and Russia's President Dmitry Medvedev . . . an agreement was reached with the Interim Government of Kyrgyzstan and President Kurmanbek Bakiyev on his departure from the country," Kazakh Foreign Minister Kanat Saudabayev said.
Bakiyev's departure is "an important step towards the stabilization of the situation" that would help prevent civil war in Kyrgyzstan, Saudabayev said in a statement on the Organization for Security and Co-operation in Europe website.
Russian Prime Minister Vladimir Putin held telephone talks with Bakiyev Wednesday, his spokesman said, although the content of the discussion was not made public.
Russian President Dmitry Medvedev had this week warned that Kyrgyzstan is standing on the brink of civil war, in an apparent effort to put pressure on Bakiyev into formally resigning.
Earlier on Thursday Bakiyev had expressed his willingness to leave the country in comments reported by local Kyrgyz media.
"My next destination is now being discussed by the presidents of Russia, Kazakshtan and even the United States. Nursultan Nazarbayev personally invited me to Kazakhstan," the ousted president was quoted as saying.
Bakieyev added that he had also been offered asylum in ex-Soviet Belarus by its President Alexander Lukashenko.
"Alexander Lukashenko called me offered me asylum in Belarus, but I told him that I don't need political asylum and am not planning to go anywhere.
"However, understanding the situation in the country, I welcome the start of negotiations and am ready to accept any offers."
Kyrgyzstan's interim leader Roza Otunbayeva had this week demanded that Bakiyev face trial for "spilling blood" during the protests amid fears that the standoff could erupt into civil war.
Bakiyev's departure came as Robert Blake, U.S. Assistant Secretary of State for South and Central Asian affairs, was in Bishkek as the first senior U.S. official to visit Kyrgyzstan since the uprising.
"The United States strongly supports the efforts of the OSCE and the Kazakhstan chairman in office to find a resolution to the situation involving Mr Bakiyev," he told reporters earlier.
Washington is keen to maintain influence in Kyrgyzstan because the country hosts the Manas air base, which U.S. forces use to support military operations in nearby Afghanistan. The interim government has promised to honour past accords.
Bakiyev came to power in a popular uprising known as the Tulip Revolution in 2005, but in recent years he came under increasing criticism for authoritarianism and corruption.

You are an uneducated piece of shit. Ha-Joon Chang, Joseph Stiglitz and others were right about the dangers of rapid decentralisation and democratisiation which you and your liar friend think is so good.

Bakiyev signed resignation letter and took off and fled, and his cronies and brothers and family relatives are being arrested for corruption of power.:p:p

三国安排
美联社认为，巴基耶夫辞职离境或可缓解吉尔吉斯斯坦先前紧张的政治危机，减少内战发生可能。
美国国务院发言人菲利普·克劳利１５日说，美国总统贝拉克·奥巴马、俄罗斯总统梅德韦杰夫与哈萨克斯坦总统纳扎尔巴耶夫本周早些时候在美国华盛顿召开的核安全峰会期间“安排了巴基耶夫离境事宜”。
“在核安全峰会期间，我们的确与纳扎尔巴耶夫总统会谈，”克劳利说，“我想，梅德韦杰夫总统也参与了会谈。”
克劳利说，三方斡旋促成巴基耶夫离境表现了“强有力的国际合作”，有助于吉尔吉斯斯坦“以和平方式走出困境”。

声明说，“临时政府能否保证国家社会发展和局势稳定取决于它的意愿”。


基地“复苏”
美国驻吉尔吉斯斯坦大使馆１５日发表声明说，吉尔吉斯斯坦玛纳斯空军基地“继续像往常一样展开燃料补给并重启运送部队士兵”。
美军中央司令部上周宣布，美军暂停使用玛纳斯空军基地运送阿富汗战场美方军事人员。
声明说，美军１６日将利用玛纳斯基地向美国运送数百名士兵。
美国２００１年发动阿富汗战争后，在吉尔吉斯斯坦首都比什凯克郊外的玛纳斯国际机场设立空军基地，运送人员和物资。这一基地成为美军支援阿富汗战场行动的主要转运站。
大约５万名美军士兵上月通过玛纳斯基地换防阿富汗。（关建武）

NEVER! Remember NEVER NEVER buy into any Economy Expert or Theories. The whole world is in a massive mess because of all these.

Remember a simple fact very clearly. That is:

In entire history of human civilization there is never any economy that could support a global population level of 6.69 billion (2008) and this level is raising daily - non stop. There is NEVER going to be unlimited resources on the planet to satisfy and support 6 billion 7 billion 8 billion and on and on, that will give everyone warmth comfort wealth security nor food and shelter.

The planet can not take it any more, the massive load of this ever increasing human civilization. No economists nor theories will really work, there is only a huge and increasing deficit.

The more one tried to apply academic theories or invent solutions, the least one should pay any attention to. So safe your breath!:p

Their HDI is still lower than Singapore. Price paid to still live a low quality of life.
