THE DSO National Laboratories is examining a letter, addressed to Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong, that was received at the Istana on Monday.
A police spokesman said yesterday that civil defence officers had also conducted tests on the letter earlier, but did not find any traces of hazardous materials.

The police did not comment on who sent the letter and how it was sent, or what made it appear suspicious.

Another question that bags an answer is why is such a powder containing letter allowed to be circulated in the postal system, especially after functional countries with lowly paid ministers have installed equipment to filter out such letters? Maybe, that must have occur to PINKY when he received a valentine letter in March which is Lent going towards Easter & not yet April Fools day...
