Samak's Cooking Show faces Constitutional Court

News Links:;)

BANGKOK -(Dow Jones)- Thailand's Constitutional Court will rule Tuesday whether embattled prime minister Samak Sundaravej violated the constitution by hosting a television cooking show, a court official said.
"If he is found guilty, there is no penalty but he would be disqualified as prime minister according to the constitution," the court official told Dow Jones Newswires Monday.
Thailand's constitution bars the prime minister from being an employee or holding any position in a partnership, company or organization.
Thousands of antigovernment protesters have occupied Government House in Bangkok since Aug. 26, demanding Samak resign because of his close ties with Thaksin Shinawatra, who was ousted as premier by the military in a September 2006 coup.
Samak is no longer hosting the show, called "Tasting and Grumbling", and has denied he was an employee.
The court will read the verdict at 0700 GMT.

The question Singaporeans should seek answer to: Are there any Constitutional Courts in Singapore?

The answer is supposed to be YES, but no - the famiLEE LEEgime had always violate and abuse Rep of Singapore Constitution.:mad::mad:

In many of our cases including my criminal motions, Mr. M Ravi had applied for Constitutional Court to be convened by President in accordance with Article 100 of Rep of Singapore Constitution. But all these applications could get is a kick from the kangaroo!:mad::D

The fact that Samak face constitutional court for his cooking show contrasted between the level of maturity and level of Rule of Law between the Thai Kingdom & Rep Of Singapore.

Being a third world country at least the Thai Kingdom does not blindfold their peasants regarding their constitutional rights. Being a so called First World, the famiLEE LEEgime is always blindfolding citizens' rights of all kinds, in particular their constitutional rights.

There are 2 some how similar ironies in the Thai Kingdom and the famiLEE LEEgime however:

  • The famiLEE LEEgime invented uniquely Singapore their million-dollar MINISTER WITHOUT PORTFOLIO
  • The Thai Kingdom now have a Prime Minister WITHOUT AN OFFICE! (evicted from PMO by PAD)
:-) :D:D
