Re: Louise Dearman - Glinda London Westend

WICKED tells the untold story of the Witches of Oz. Long before Dorothy dropped in, two other girls meet in the Land of Oz. One, born with emerald green skin, is smart, fiery and misunderstood. The other is beautiful, ambitious and very popular. WICKED tells the story of how these two unlikely friends grow to become the Wicked Witch of the West and Glinda the Good Witch.

With a stellar Australian cast including Lucy Durack (Glinda), Jemma Rix and Patrice Tipoki (Elphaba), Bert Newton (The Wizard), Tim Campbell (Fiyero) and Maggie Kirkpatrick (Madame Morrible), WICKED will take your breath away.

When WICKED opened on Broadway, it worked its magic on critics and audiences alike. Winner of 35 major awards including a Grammy® and three Tony Awards® and six Helpmann Awards® including Best Musical, today it remains one of the most successful theatrical events in the world.

International History
* In his review of the London production, Tim Walker, of the Sunday Telegraph (London), called WICKED “blockbuster entertainment – it is magnificent to see a musical that manages to be both populist and intelligent at the same time.”

WICKED opened in London’s West End on September 27, 2006 at the Apollo Victoria Theatre. It created London theatre history by selling over ₤100,000 worth of tickets in its first half-hour of sales. The London production of WICKED has played for 3 years and over 1,250 performances. It is consistently the highest-grossing show in the West End.

* In his review of the Japanese language production, Hitomi Hagio, of The Tokyo, called WICKED “a spectacular entertainment with deep emotions and a serious message.”

A Japanese language production of WICKED opened in Tokyo on June 17, 2007 at the Dentsu Shiki Theatre and played to consistent capacity crowds through September 6, 2009. The production opened in Osaka on October 11.

A German language production of WICKED opened in Stuttgart on November 15, 2007 at the Stuttgart Musical Centre and has been playing to consistent capacity crowds ever since.

* In his review of the Australian production, John Bailey of The Age raved, “this dazzling entertainment more than justifies the hype. WICKED has it all – the glitz and glamour and smiles, the anthemic tunes and mind-boggling sets. It also has a brain.”

The Australian production of WICKED began at Melbourne’s Regent Theatre in June, 2008 and concluded its record-breaking run in August, 2009. It opens on September 12, 2009 at Sydney’s Capitol Theatre.

Tip: Best seats are F to M 18-31, good seats 65 pounds and a few premium seats, 92.5 sterling pounds or more, out of these, the best of best are J and H row.

of course at second floor dress circle row Y and X cheapest at 15 pounds, where you probably maybe need a binocular, you can rent small binocular , they are just in front of the seat for 1 pound only. If i were you, i will bring a big one with you.

you can try leicester square for cheap tickets.
