Default This National Day, let's give thanks to what the PAP has done right

National Day is a time when the our nation comes together in patriotic cheer and joy at what we have achieved. This National Day, let us give our heartfelt thanks for what the PAP Government has done right for Singapore.

Guided by the sure and steady hand of the PAP (may the PAP progress!), we have survived the tumultuous days since Independence, and built a nation of economic prosperity, racial and and religious harmony, and social progress. It is due to the tireless dedication of our political leaders and Government servants that today we have a vibrant and prosperous nation that we are proud to call our home.

The PAP Government is never afraid to enact policies for the long term good of our people, even if they may be unpopular in the short run. By their steadfast and courageous commitment to the long term growth and security of our Great Motherland, they have demonstrated an uncommon wisdom that few political leaders in the world embody. By refusing to pander to the short term whims of the electorate and by insisting on enacting policies that put our nation on a sure and firm footing for many years to come, the PAP has given our nation a rock solid foundation and has enabled us to take full advantage of the forces of globalization.

It is for this reason that we should put our hearts and minds together to give praise and thanks to our astute and courages political leaders from the PAP. With them in charge, Singaporeans will be free to develop their fullest potential and reach for that Pot Of Gold.

Many people have complained that the PAP Government is authoritarian and does not give the people enough freedom, but in reality, Singapore is one of the freest countries in the world. Singaporeans are free to express themselves as they wish as long as they do not break the law, and do not infringe on the rights of others. All views and ideas are welcome in Singapore, as long as they do not arouse racial insensitivity or defame our public institutions, all of which are of sound moral standing.

By taking a bold yet pragmatic approach to freedom of expression, Singapore has successfully found a model that combines individual freedom and community responsibility in a way that benefits everyone and allows us to progress as one people. The Singapore Model is unique in the world, combining both respect for the individual as well as respect for the community and society. For this, we must all give thanks to our PAP leaders for their vision and foresight.

This National Day, let us come together and remember what the PAP Government has done right for Singapore. Let us join together in the Great and Nobel Cause of Nation Building.

And when the next election comes, let us give our fullest support to the party that has, and which will, lead our nation from strength to strength, and build an even stronger and more vibrant Singapore. Let us give our support to the PAP. Let us VOTE for the PAP!

    Majulah PAP! Majulah Singapura!

didnt we notice that theyre coming up with lesser n lesser propaganda songs these days, n basically repeating n recycling the old propaganda songs used in the 80s???

maybe its a sign that even the singers/songwriters r finding lesser inspiration, n probably guilt stricken... hence nt producing as many propaganda songs in recent yrs.

You must be joking... What is the purpose of a political party in a nation? To serve the country and its citizens. Thats why they are called public servant. To serve the PUBLIC.. But what do we have here?? A party who only serve and care for their own interests by giving themselves million dollars salary. By wanting to run the country like a corporation without having to face the consequences when making blunders. By taxing and increasing the costs of living without the thoughts and care for the needy.

Just look at the recent investments by GIC and Temasak into foreign banks. Have you had any idea how many billions have been poured into the troubling banks and how much has been lost since the tumbling shares?? And whose money was that?? It's the citizens' hard earn money.

What happened to the saga of Mas Selamat now??? Have we heard anything about it nowadays?? They are not even sure his whereabout now now let alone wanting to bring him in.

Remember, SIN does not belong to PAP and PAP do not own SIN. A country and a political party should not blend as one. Don't blur the line...
