A MANAGER of a credit company stole $14,000 from his office, lost it all at the Marina Bay Sands (MBS) casino, then returned to the office to steal another $50,000.
Ng Tian Seng (photo), 31, lost all that at the same casino too. He has since been fired from his job at Lion Credit.
Yesterday he was jailed six months on two counts of theft. He had pleaded guilty.
The court heard that on Sept 3, he went to his Kitchener Road office at about 3.45am, took $14,000 from a cash box, and headed for the gaming tables at MBS.
He was back at about 6am for fresh 'capital'. Closed-circuit television footage showed him entering the director's office and taking $50,000 from the safe there.
Ng, who has paid back about $7,000 to the company, pleaded for leniency, saying he had worked out a private agreement with his former employer to make good what was stolen, in instalments.
