There is also one BIG secret that many from the older generation of Singaporeans would recall but dare not repeat given the amount of trouble it can create. Ask your grandparents or aging parents, they may concur for those that know.
LKY’s father was in the watch retail business. Ever wondered why LKY never talked about his father nor paid any tribute to his old man before and after his death, whereas his mother was pretty visible in the community through her cooking expertise and classes. His parents did not share the same room and were somewhat separated on a secret that embarrassed & tore down the family name.
LKY senior had the nasty habit of going places unannounced and often come back late in the evenings. He was followed both for safety and surveillance. Unfortunately what was reported back to the household was a shocking revelation that “ended” the marriage and deeply hurt the mother. No, old man senior was not keeping a mistress nor visited vice dens. But nevertheless, he was getting his needs satisfied on a regular basis. How?

Looks like this guy who wrote is highly strung and easy excitable chap. Nothing secret about it. Pretty much public knowledge for the old timers.

1) Had a gambling habit, played with kakis at Singapore Chinese Swimming Club.
2) Occasionally gets pissed drunk and lands in a drain. The coppers from old orchard station know the routine and leave him outside his home in oxley.
3) Worked at BP da Silva for years until the 1990s at Marina Square. Many from all walks of life had been served by him. Used to have lunch at he foodcourt.
4) No security special branch escort.

By the way, no security branch or its equivalent anywhere in the world is going to tell the wife anything. They exist for a purpose and not to feed trivia to the family.

would u mind debunking those secrets then and then explain in detail the facts and seperate them from the myths. Maybe start a new thread and then mapaka can copy it to the other forum you would be doing many forummers a service since many of them would have read all the stories from TR by now.
