Why aren't maids screened for hepatitis B?

<!-- by line --><!-- end by line -->

RECENTLY, I employed a new maid and took her for a hepatitis B vaccination. To my surprise, I discovered that she was a hepatitis B carrier.
Only when I inquired with the maid agency and the Ministry of Manpower (MOM) did I realise that hepatitis B is not part of a maid's health screening checklist.
The hepatitis B virus is transmitted through contact with the blood or other body fluids of an infected person. Maids are in close contact with an employer's family regularly: carrying babies, showering elderly parents and children, and preparing our meals, to name a few.
Shouldn't hepatitis B be made part of the health screening checklist, considering the consequences of transmission?
Our replacement maid too tested positive for hepatitis B.

Anyone who has been to a casino would notice that the casino staff often look tired. The casino operates for 24hrs and the staff are on shift duties. I once heard from a dealer that the dealers could hardly sleep peacefully when they are off-duty, because their sleeping time is so irregular, as in other jobs that require one to work on shifts.

If a dealer is doing the morning shift, he sleeps at night. And if it's his turn to do the night shift, he sleeps in the morning. He has to adjust his 'internal alarm clock' very frequently. It's like having jet lag every week or two. How can one expect the staff not to be tired under such circumstances?

Nothing to be sorry about for speaking the truth.

Every staff in RWS ,esp Uni Studios must be alert and vgilant at all times.

Being Sharp and alert and vigilant at all times is important as it ,not only reduced but also prevent normal accidents from ever happening .Instances of " suspicious behaviours and left baggages"are also easily spotted.

Having "fatigue staff who has higher probability of being less vigilant and alert, is an excellent receipe for mad ,crazy people like the deceased Tok Nordin and his followers.

We must "remain vigilant" at all times. National Security is of upmost importance.

This is clearly the case in the Casino where you see half of the tables closed even though it's overcrowded and people wait for hours for a chance to sit at a table. It seems Universal Studios is experiencing the same problem.

The opening was not planned well at all, which shouldn't be a surprise given Genting's reputation for mediocrity.
