Tried to do reading on the iphone6 plus. Pretty strainining to the eyes...thinking of getting a e book reader. Any recommendations........ Thanks!!

Samsung 7-inch tablet very cheap leh.
I used to own a kindle , some generations back, can't buy & ship here, so I got it bought in the States & shipped here. I have sold the unit for it has no back light & uses the old fashion buttons to press. The other problem is, ebooks I can't buy from amazon...but I got that solved , I have friend in the States buy the ebook & GIFT it to my amazon account.
I have Kindle App on my iPhone, iPad & Macbook pro..I can read the books from these devices. I tested it on iPad Mini, but find it an overkill. A kindle device is still the best for reading ebooks, most likely later this year, I will buy the Kindle paper white...
My opinion, best separate novels reading etc..separate from your phones, pads etc...less distracting but have to carry an additional ebook reader...
The Kindle Paperwhite ebook device is still the industry leader....for me, that is my choice...but I have not ask Amazon if they ship that to Singapore, if they still don't, nvm, I get it bought in USA & ship it to myself...
I am using a iPad mini to read e books. Very good, compact n comfy on the eyes.

It's a hassle when Amazon refuses to sell to a Spore address. That is why I sometimes torrent some books from the Internet e.g. Cookbooks
I have not tried buying for a long time ebooks from Amazon, they might have changed their policies. I did have a lengthly email tete a tete with them on this, a long while back & I could not understand their explanation, but manage to confirm from them, that, anyone can GIFT me an ebook...
. I did just that....when I want a book...but I have not bought anything for over a year..I have no problems with iTunes...I have quite a number of ebooks bought from them...but I have refrain reading them on my iPhone..too small to read.
I still feel a dedicated ebook reader for just reading books is better than a device that has other usage thrown in...a book is a book.......& reading a book, we won't want to be distracted...
Yes, did some checking and understand the kindle paperwhite seems to be a recommendation. There is another by the name of voyage, though it's a little more pricey.
The only problem is the hassle of bringing so many electronic stuff when going outstation. Laptop, mobile phone and now e book reader. Never these that's a choice have to make if decide on dedicated e book reader.....
Done that for a while....I have my kindle app on my iPhone, my iPad mini, my macbook pro....but, this my preference, I still want a kindle just to read my books bought from amazon...
The advantage on my mac devices are, I can read ebooks I bought from iTunes & Amazon...& now I have to make a choice or which I should buy solely from....

I use a Samsung TAB with Kindle app for ebooks, as well as reading eMag from Zinio.
I also listen to books from Audible (an amazon co.), and you can switch between reading on kindle and listening on audible.

i read chinese book from ipad and english book from macbook pro.
Go to Amazon.cn, enter accounts and do a country conversion. You will need to input the local credit card. Alternatively delete the cn account and then hook the iPad as the second device to the Macbook acct.
Eh... not sure. I dont use Apple products.
I cant find the above in playstore.
