the beef in the video looks like slabs of shit. my korean friends are telling me the best korean bbq can be found in san jose, specifically the newly opened restaurant called gen. the food is excellent, all you can eat for lunch for us$14.99 plus tax and dinner for us$24.99 plus tax. over 30 items on the menu, and you can pick any or all of them with repeat orders over the entire time you are at the table. the waitress will advise you to have up to 4 choices at any one time as the grill plus table will not be large enough to hold all the items. finish 4, and you're free to order the next 4.....and the next 4, and the next 4, all for the prices as stated. slices of pork belly will require at least 1 hour on the grill to get caramelized. order that first, and leave it by the side of the grill to get smoked and grilled slowly.
