French foreign legions can't even fight the algerians. and where were they in WWII. Only nice uniforms designed by some chic designer. that is all.
at one time not long ago, it was the europeans that were killing the arabs in algeria, Syria (French), libya, somalia (italians), Morocco(spain), Egypt, Palestine(UK) etc.

an those jews fleeing european persecution were brought in to palestine without the consent of the locals causing further havoc.

I fully agree it is not our war. What is happening today is just a continuation of the 1000 year old war dating from the Crusades. Many people condemn the cruelty of ISIS/Al-qaeda etc ... but when the Christians were waging war on the Holy Land, they also killed entire cities including women and children. Once upon a time, Islam was an enlightened religion which valued knowledge and human progressiveness.

The European-versus-Ottoman wars actually resulted in many cultural exchanges which defined the Western civilisation (including fields of science and mathematics) we know today.

From an outsider point of view, it is the (current) losing side which is using more brutal and under-handed methods of fighting. If the Christians are losing, they will also be using terrorism/guerrilla warfare to fight. History has already proved that both sides are equally capable of such levels of violence.

Btw, it is quite an open secret that the French foreign legion was a major recruiter for ex-SS German soldiers after WW2. Today, many of the songs they sing in the Legion are in German with many references to their Nazi-influenced heritage.
