Man gets nine months' jail for recruiting girls for prostitution

Kwek was a member of an online forum called Sammyboy and paid $500 a month to advertise the services of the girls working for him.

He would post these advertisements under a moniker "lovelygirls", listing the girl's age, race and physical measurements, and include a photograph.

Interested customers would send him private messages on the forum. He would contact these customers and arrange for a suitable time and location for sexual services to be provided. He received $14,400 in earnings from prostitution.

His lawyer Adrian Tan Wen Cheng said in mitigation that his client, a former contractor, had decided to quit the social escort business as a result of his newly-found Christian faith. He was about to wind down his business when he was arrested.

seems to me this guy is a sophisticated guy, he knew that by using religion such as christianity, he can get a lighter sentence. if you read, he only found Christianity after he got caught and wanted to close his pimping biz. if he never get caught, do you think he will close. face it, pimping is the most lucrative biz.

Novice, inexperienced OKT. He got caught probably because he was at the wrong place at the wrong time but if he got caught because his "office" got raided, then that's what i meant by novice OKT. :biggrin:

AV wants to know where his "office" is, not just the place where whores are housed.

Being OKT is not the best but to finance the operations like me without getting involved (aka sleeping partner) and just wait to collect money every accounting month is the best. No evidence and can't be prosecuted.

The govt will leave the local high end escort industry alone because they know it is a hit with the high rollers and part of the lubricant (no pun intended) that keeps the wealthy coming (no pun intended) to splurge here.

Now and then they will crack down on some unfortunate pimp just to make an example and show people that they uphold moral standards. Bunch of bollocks and bullshit.

Sammyboy sex forum can at most attract low to mid range clientel and pimps. The high end ones don't really find the branding suitable. Word of mouth still the way to go for the high end escort trade.

You are right but also wrong.

The case of pimp Tang has exposed high profile businessmen and civil serpents and it's only one pimp. After that high profile incident, no clients want to use their registered numbers anymore and u don't have to buy pre registered prepaid cards from black markets anymore as foreigners on tourists visa are an abundance thanks to PAP FT policy :biggrin:
