Specified “Road Traffic (PAP Event)”, the Deputy Police Commissioner executed a direct order to block several roads near Portsdown Road yesterday (August 28). The Road Block will happen during the election week on September 4 (Friday) where contesting political parties can campaign for votes, but the event is reserved exclusively for the ruling party PAP:

The Schedule
In exercise of the powers conferred by section 143 of the Road Traffic Act, the Deputy Commissioner of Police, on his own motion, makes the following Order:
Citation
1. This Order may be cited as the Road Traffic (PAP Event) Order 2015.
Prohibition of entry
2. No vehicle is to enter or remain on any road specified in the Schedule
on 29 August 2015 from 6 a.m. to 3 p.m., or until such later time as the Deputy
Commissioner of Police may determine.
Exemption
3. This Order does not apply to ––
(a) any vehicle conveying police officers on duty;
(b) any vehicle belonging to the Singapore Civil Defence Force;
(c) any ambulance; and
(d) any other vehicle displaying official labels.
