SINGAPORE - A 36-year-old man has been arrested in relation to an accident involving a car and a motorcycle along Seletar Expressway (SLE) on Tuesday (July 28) night.

The 47-year-old victim suffered head injuries and was taken conscious to Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, said an SCDF spokesman.

Police said they received a call at 11.21pm about the accident, and are still investigating the case.

Facebook user Muhd Farhan told The Straits Times that he was driving on the SLE and was about to exit at Woodlands Avenue 2 when he saw what looked like a log in front of him, which he soon realised was a man.

The victim was a few metres away from his motorcycle and his helmet was nowhere to be seen.

Muhd Farhan said he stopped to help as other cars were avoiding the man who was lying in the middle of the road.

A few motorcyclists stopped too, and one of them helped to direct traffic before the ambulance arrived.

Muhd Farhan also found the plate number of the car about 15m away from the rider. His posts have been shared over 4,000 times on the social media website.
