SINGAPORE - An architect was jailed for 24 weeks, fined $10,000 and banned from driving all vehicles for six years on Monday for various traffic offences and assaulting a policeman.
Lee Jianlong, 29, pleaded guilty to five charges - drink riding, riding a motorcycle under a driving ban and without insurance, dangerous riding and hitting a corporal on his chest on Feb 11 this year.
The court heard that at about 2am that day, Lee was directed to pull over his motorcycle at about 2.30am at a road block along Woodlands Avenue 12 manned by corporal Muhammad Hafeez Muhammad, 27.
Lee failed to stop at the roadblock and continued to ride through it. Mr Hafeez alerted his colleagues, and they gave chase in a police car.
