Why would anyone buy an island in Fuji?

This island was sold for 1 million SGD and the new owner has only 77 years left on the lease. The freehold ex colonial don't care.



Given the history of traditional disputes between the freehold owners and also the govt of the day.
Also problems with the landless natives incl a few Fijian Indians.
