Over the weekend, Singapore Airlines Flight 836, flying from Singapore to Shanghai, lost power mid-flight on both of its Rolls-Royce engines.

According to Flightradar 24, the Airbus A330-343 experienced the problem while cruising at 39,000 feet.

The incident, which took place just south of Hong Kong, caused the airliner to descend 13,000 feet before the crew was able to restart the engines.

The Airbus jet — registration number 9V-SSF — landed safely in Shanghai an hour and a half later.

There were 182 passengers and 12 crew members on board the airliner. No injuries were reported.

According to The Aviation Herald, Singapore Airlines confirmed that the A330 "experienced a temporary loss of power" after encountering some bad weather.

According to The Aviation Herald, Singapore Airlines confirmed that the A330 "experienced a temporary loss of power" after encountering some bad weather.

Once on the ground in Shanghai, the two-month-old airliner underwent a batch of tests, but a cause for the power loss couldn't be determined, The Aviation Herald reported.

Singapore's Air Accident Investigations Bureau is looking into the incident.

When a jet like the A330 loses an engine, it's still certified to fly for as long as four hours on the remaining engine. Obviously, when a jet loses both engines, the situation is much more serious. However, pilots are trained to handle it.

The A330-300 is a twin-engine midsize wide-body airliner and one of Airbus' top-selling aircraft types. The plane that experienced the problem was fitted with two Rolls-Royce Trent 772B turbofan engines

Singapore has 31 Airbus A330-300s in its fleet. They fly routes across Asia and Australia.

airbus A330 i think got problem flying through bad weather. Many times i heard descended with no apparent reason.
In this incident, imagine gliding down in bad weather with no engines. it must have been horrific for the passengers with the turbulence and all that.

that was why back in 1700s Chinese Empeoro Qianlong said China don't need Evil Brit Industrialize revolution boiling water machines products. https://www.google.com.au/search?q=...xx4KgAg&ved=0CCgQsAQ&biw=1371&bih=638&dpr=1.4

Inventions cockup the Evil Brit will go bankrupt and when need more money they become drug dealers targeted wealthy Chinese China and your forefathers SEA overseas Chinese for drug money. Today they stopped short to hang drug traffickers in the own white countries becos their were once shameful drug traffickers before.

He who sacrifices his conscience to ambition burns a picture to obtain the ashes. Chinese Proverb

For over a century, Western nations trafficked in opium on a scale that dwarfs any modern Colombian multi billion dollar drug empire, yet today we Westerners know little about it. We don't learn about it in high school history--or even college, for that matter. I had an American professor in Xiamen tell me that he thought the war was fought to keep China from exporting opium.

Uncontrolled rate of descent is about 8,000-10,000 ft per minute. They manage to restart the engine at 26,000 ft, after falling for 13,000 ft. So, if they did not manage to restart the engine at 26,000 ft, they have less than 3 min before impact. Maybe the pilot can try and glide the plane down to gain time but its stated the weather was bad at that time, so not sure how effective that would be. In either case, the passengers maybe had less then 5 mins to live.

Next planes will be open source designs from independent developers. Corrupt MNCs are interested in bottom line profit for shareholders and only take in Ah Nehs fake.

Questions, Questions and more Questions....

1. How come our state-controlled media didn't report it since it happened at the weekend? Today's already Tuesday night (US time) or Wednesday late morning (Sinkie time). We had to learn it from censor-free sites like the Business Insider?

2. How come SIA has not released press statements regarding the incident and the probable causes for the loss of power of BOTH engines?

3. Is this incident a result of divine retribution for some evil deeds that LHL has done, eg. for having persecuted a 16+ year old boy for alleged blasphemy against a certain local deity? Or for LHL having received a massive commission for helping evil and corrupt Najib to stash 1 billion USD in Sinkieland? Divine retribution was meted out to Najib twice, an MH370 (South Indian Ocean) and MH17 (over Ukrainian airspace).

LHL and FamiLEE should repent of their sins and stop persecuting their political opponents and acts that harm poor Sinkies. This most recent incident should serve as a warning that divine retribution will befall them, just as Najib had been punished by divine authority for screwing up his country, murder of Mongolian model, massive corruption, etc...
