Banker gets money from depositors like you and me, and pays us 3% interests every year.
In turn, banker gets at least 3% return from the project, so as to pay us interests.
If banker cannot get 3% to pay us interests, then amount owed will be compounded year on year.
Debt will be snowballing and banker may go bankrupt.

But if Thai has lots of money to spare, then they can make "long term" investment (sounds familiar?).

Their military exercises with the US military every year, most of the Thai generals were trained in the US. Almost all their military equipment is from the US. Singapore can go to hell for all they care.

the empty vessel thought it is like driving a truck through an express way and talked about saving 1.5 days sailing...
he has no clue about the real world......ships have to queue to pass through the canal one at a time and the waiting time may even be longer than sailing thru the Malacca Straits..........

There is no sound economic, military reasons to built the canal.....
The only reason if the canal will ever be built is simply for ego.....period.
