Lee Kuan Yew's state funeral procession started at 12:30pm to cover a path of 15.4kms from Parliament House to NUS Cultural Centre.
Despite the heavy rain, Singaporeans and foreigners alike lined the streets to pay their final respects to Mr Lee Kuan Yew, the man widely regarded as the founding father of Singapore.
The PAP facebook page shared this touching photo of the first NDP in 1968 when it also rained heavily:

It rained heavily at NDP68, our first National Day Parade.
The VIPs at City Hall were unsure what to do... Mr Lee Kuan Yew sat in his seat in the heavy downpour and said,
"The whole world is watching us to see what we are made of. We will brave on."
And brave the rain they did.
Today, 29 March 2015, in his procession, a rain is upon us again.
And brave the rain we will.
Here are some photos from the procession:

Ng Eng Hen - Defence Minister, Health Minister Gan Kim Yong, Senior Minister of State for Finance and Transport Josephine Teo, Minister of State for National Development and Defence Dr Maliki Osman and Nominated MP K. The pallbearers were followed by his family members, which included Prime Minister Lee Hsien Loong to the accompaniment of the funeral march played by the SAF Military Band.
The cortege is led by four guard-of-honour contingents from the Singapore Armed Forces (SAF) and the Singapore Police Force (SPF). They played a funeral march.
