Another sick habit of Teh which Old Fart was not aware of was that Teh was a sex-maniac.
Every day during lunchtime he would come to our mess at Pacific Mansion to get his daily doze of sex with prostitute arranged by the mess 'amah-cheh'.
He once told some mess members that he could do without lunch but not without sex.
He used to call them (including himself) "Heavyweights". Now Keechiu refers to them (including himself) as "Weighty".

We will be on death watch as long as no pictures emerge.
Given the high level of care he has been receiving, it is somewhat suspicious as to how he could have contracted pneumonia. IMHO, it is likely that the pneumonia is a cover story. His medical history suggests that he is more likely to have been affected by a heart related problem (stroke being the most likely).
If this is correct, then the actual sequence of events is that he was struck down and has been in a coma since at least Feb 2. He is currently being kept alive by mechanical ventilation and other devices which he had objected to when he was lucid.
There were stories of a scare on Friday but it would appear that the doctors have put in superhuman efforts to keep him alive. This led Yacob to issue the coded message on Saturday that he is "stable". Aware that this is being watched very closely, PMO quickly issued a second statement to try and put a spin that he was improving to give the positive impression that he would be out and about soon.

the nurses were very happy.
the senior nurse quickly called Lee Hsien Loong and asked for his permission to feed Lee Kuan Yew with roti prata kosong and KFC. Junior Lee was not convince and insisted doctor for a detailed report

I have seen this in so many cases... Quite often, the doctors and relatives of the patient believe they should keep life going. I do not agree. There is an end to everything and I want mine to come as quickly and painlessly as possible, not with me incapacitated, half in coma in bed and with a tube going into my nostrils and down to my stomach. ~ Lee Kuan Yew

this ICU bed is at least 2000sgd per day.
usually people are on this icu for 2 - 5 days after critical surgery.
after that, they are able to breath on their own.
it is astonishing to know that people are on this kind of icu for nearly a month.

3 siblings have 3 different expressions when they are visiting their father lee kuan yew.
1) Lee Hsien Loong is always very stressful and nervous and sometimes his hands are shaking.
2) Lee Wei Ling is always sad and sometimes crying and sobbing.
3) Lee Hsien Yang, is always very cool and chit chatting with the nurses and always very calm and friendly and behaving like a salesman.
This info is from the senior nurses serving Lee Kuan Yew ward.

Familee stay in close proximity with the peasants? Please lah, familee should have their own ward that have separate rooms that are retrofitted with equipments that are top of the range that are not of place in an ICU.
