[h=1]CHEATING HUSBAND JAILED 8 WEEKS FOR ASSAULTING WIFE AND FRACTURING HER JAW[/h]

Loo Wee Kiat, 36, was sentenced to 8 weeks in jail for assaulting his wife by repeatedly punching her in the face and causing her jaw to fracture.
He had wrongly suspected her of cheating on him when in fact he was the one that had been having an affair.
Loo and Ms Tan Mei Ying, were living apart at the time of the incident as Tan had discovered that Loo was having an affair.
The incident happened on Jan 7[SUP]th[/SUP] last year at their home in West Coast Road when Ms Tan had returned to their home to retrieve some belongings about a week after she first left due to having found out about her husband’s infidelity.
Her female friend was waiting for her the carpark downstairs.
The incident happened just after midnight. The two had gotten into an argument and Loo who had been drinking earlier didn’t want to let Ms Tan leave suspecting that she was cheating on him.
He became violent and started punching her in the face repeatedly until she started to bleed. The couple’s children awoke from the argument and began crying when they saw their mother bleeding.
Loo will begin serving his jail term from Fab 23 as he was granted permission to delay his sentence due to wanting to celebrate Chinese New Year with his family.
He is currently out on bail of $15,000.
For voluntarily causing hurt, he could have been jailed up to 2 years and fined up to $5,000.
