Man suspected of molesting woman along MacKenzie Road arrested

SINGAPORE - A 25 year-old man suspected of molesting a 27-year-old woman along Mackenzie Road was arrested.
The incident happened early on Sunday morning at about 3am, On 25 January 2015 at about 3am.
The victim was walking along Mackenzie Road when she was molested by an unidentified man.
She immediately shouted for help and two passers-by gave chase and detained the man. Police officers responded to the scene shortly and placed him under arrest.
Investigations against the 25-year-old man are ongoing.
Anyone convicted for an offence of Outrage of Modesty under Section 354A (1) of the Penal Code, Chapter 224, if convicted shall be punished with imprisonment for a term of not less than 2 years and not more than 10 years and with caning.
