Tiong women take the business of finding a husband very seriously.
On dating sites, they immediately declare on their profiles that they want a husband, they want marriage, and start projecting a future with happiness and kids.
That is a big turn-off. They take the term 征婚 ('seeking marriage') a tad too seriously.
For the non-Tiong women, it's more of expanding their social circle, more friends of the opposite sex, people who share the same interests, and if a right one comes along, fantastic.
I think the Tiong women are either succumbing to peer/societal pressure, or they are delusional about marriage. Or they are gold diggers.
