A mother in Taiwan got revenge on her son for blocking her on instant messaging app Line by posing as a young woman to chat him up, reports our Chinese-language sister paper China Times.

Screenshots purported to be of a Line conversation taken by the mother and shared online showed the son happily entering into conversation with "Sandy," a young woman with an attractive profile photo.

Sandy proceeded to bait the son by asking him whether he remembered her, adding that they went to the same summer camp. When the son confessed that he could not remember, Sandy revealed that she was actually his mother, who had found the profile picture online and disguised herself to get back at him.

"Crap," was all the son could say in reply.

The mother then went on inform him that he was in trouble and that his father wanted a word with him when he returned home.

Local internet users have praised the crafty mom, dubbing her "cute" and "advanced." Netizens noted that since the mother had been blocked she would have had to set up a completely new account to get through to her son, something he probably never expected her to know how to do.

Others were concerned that all mothers will start using the tactic as it has been reported in the news.

The mother reportedly also tried to scare her son by using a photo of the haunted doll from the horror film Annabelle as her profile picture, but by then he had figured it out.

"Fine, I'll go scare your father instead," she replied.
