Man, 50, arrested for defacing police message board

SINGAPORE - The police have arrested a 50-year-old man who is believed to be responsible for damaging a police message board.
On Oct 26, a member of the public called 999 and informed the police that a police message board at the lift lobby of a block located in Hougang Avenue 3 was vandalised.
Officers from Ang Mo Kio Police Division headed down to the block and confirmed that the acrylic police message board, which was used to display crime prevention advisories, had been damaged.
The suspect was arrested on Nov 5 after officers conducted ground enquiries and reviewed CCTV footage from the block.
Investigations are on-going.
If convicted, the suspect faces a jail term of up to three years, or a fine, and caning.
