SINGAPORE - A 26-year-old man suspected of breaking into a Beach Road office and stealing cash and a mobile phone worth about $1,500 has been arrested.
On Monday morning, staff arrived to find the office ransacked. The police said that after reviewing camera footage, and through careful analysis of the crime scene, it is believed that the suspect entered the office through its ceiling panels.
He was arrested at Paya Lebar Road within the same day, at about 4.20pm.
If convicted of housebreaking and theft by night, he faces between two and 14 years in jail.
