SINGAPORE: A 26-year old man was found dead along Pandan Loop on Saturday night (Aug 23). Police say they were alerted to the case at 10:33pm.

Upon arrival, the man was found lying motionless at the location and was pronounced dead at about 10.53pm by paramedics.

The case has been classified as murder and police say investigations are ongoing. - CNA/nd

SINGAPORE - A 26-year-old man, found dead along Pandan Loop on Saturday night, is believed to have been murdered.

The police received a call for assistance along Pandan Loop at about 10.30pm on Saturday.

Officers found the man lying motionless there. Paramedics pronounced him dead at about 10.50pm.

The police has classified the case as a murder. Investigations are ongoing.

TODAY newspaper had reported that the man was found lying on the road with injuries on his head at around 10:30pm that day.

SINGAPORE - An Indian national was charged on Wednesday with the murder of a fellow countryman in Pandan Loop.

Thiruppathi Veerapperumal, 26, is alleged to have caused the death of technician Murugaiya Suresh Kumar at Pandan Loop along an exit leading to West Coast Highway between 10.10pm and 10.33pm last Saturday.

The victim, also 26, was an employee of Poly NDT, which does testing and inspections of parts such as ship hulls. He had injuries to his head and neck.

He was found lying motionless on the ground by the police. Blood stains were reportedly splattered along the road, and also on the nearby fencing.

Veerapperumal told the court he did not commit the offence. He is remanded at Central police division lock-up for further investigation. His case will be mentioned on Sept 3.

An Indian national protested his innocence when he was brought to court to face a capital charge yesterday.

Thiruppathi Veerapperumal, 26, is alleged to have murdered technician Murugaiya Suresh Kumar at Pandan Loop last Saturday.

SINGAPORE: Police on Friday (Aug 29) announced they have arrested another two men, aged 27 and 28, in connection with the death of a 26-year-old Indian national at Pandan Loop last Saturday.

A third man, Thiruppathi Veerapperumal, has already been charged with the murder of the foreign worker. The victim had been found with injuries to his head and neck and had deformities on his left hand, TODAY newspaper reported. He was pronounced dead by paramedics at 72 Pandan Loop along the exit road leading to West Coast Highway at 10.50pm.

Thiruppathi faces the death penalty if convicted. The other two suspects will be charged in court on Saturday for murder. - CNA/ly

SINGAPORE: Two more men were charged on Saturday (Aug 30) in connection with the murder of a 26-year-old foreign worker.

Karthikeyan Prabakaran and Chellappan Sankar allegedly committed murder by causing the death of Murugaiya Suresh Kumar on Aug 23 at Pandan Loop. Another accused, Thiruppathi Veerapperumal, was charged earlier on Wednesday.

According to TODAY newspaper, the victim was found with injuries to his head and neck and had deformities on his left hand.
