Saudi Man Receives 3 Year Prison Sentence And 450 Lashes For Being Gay

A Saudi Arabian man has been sentenced to three years in jail and 450 lashes after he was caught using Twitter to arrange dates with other men.

The 24-year-old man who has not been named, was given his sentence after the court in Medina, Saudi Arabia, found him guilty of “promoting the vice and practice of homosexuality.”

According to a report in the daily Arabic newspaper Al-Watan, the man was arrested following an entrapment ploy by the Commission for the Promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice (CPVPV).

In Saudi Arabia, like most of the Middle East, homosexuality is a taboo and can result in harsh punishments if someone is found guilty.

By law, any married man found engaging in sodomy or any non-Muslim who commits sodomy with a Muslim can be stoned to death.

Other punishments to be handed out to those found guilty of homosexuality include chemical castrations, imprisonment and execution.

What about lesbos ? Also 450 ?

God would not have created Woman if he had wanted Man to engage in homosexuality. Homosexuality is a sexual depravity of human thought process which is considered haram in islam. Buddhism does not condone homosexuality either.

Sometimes I wonder about laws made on religious grounds that they are "offensive" and the society metes out harsh punishment for them. So, who is hurt, or offended by these "crimes?" Don't like it, no one is forcing them to take part. What have these buggers got to gain by punishing others who take part in something consented by another adult? WTF?

There is nothing that is said, that we cannot go to heaven, but a lot is said, that, we have sinned & fallen short of the Glory of God, the punishment is death. Death not only in the destruction of a mortal body...but the soul.

If the sinner repent before God...that is between God & the sinner...a sinner may enter Heaven & we don't.

We have Sodom & Gomorrah, in the old Testament, where mankind indulged in sexual depravity of human thought process...the issue of homosexuality is not new....in the ancient societies, they STONE these people to death.

Theoretically, nothing is proven that God exists or that there is Heaven and Hell.

In case God exists and there is indeed a paradise called Heaven and a shithole called Hell, and to play safe, don’t do anything which Jesus would not do.

I wonder why in such a "strict" country as Saudi Arabia, homosexuals could even exist at all. Worse still, there are tons of other homosexuals who need to go on dates with other homosexuals.

I think something must be wrong with Saudi Arabia's version of Islam. Either that, or it proves that homosexuals are born and not nurtured.
