Healed of Knee Pain & Ankle Pain
Have you wondered how God could set people free from a life of pain? Truly, He can come into all our circumstances to touch, heal and deliver us if we take a step of faith to trust and believe Him. All things are possible when we are connected to the God of miracles.
Tan Geok Hwa was only five years old when she met with an accident. She was walking along a pavement with her mother when a drunk driver bumped into her from the back. Had the driver not braked in time, Geok Hwa would have been seriously injured. On the surface, she did not have any physical wound and the medical report seemed positive. However, a year later, she started to experience pain in both her knees which would be unbearable at night. To numb the pain, she would hit her legs against the wall till she fell asleep. The situation got progressively worse that her brothers had to massage her legs just to relieve her pain.
Furthermore, when she was about 13 years old, she injured her knee and had to go for a surgery. She was then told by the doctor that despite her young age, the bones of her legs were aging like those of an elderly woman. Her bone density was low due to the loss of calcium and the bones were rather brittle. Over the years, the pain grew worse and even affected her ankles. So she consulted a Chinese physician for acupuncture and took pain killers occasionally. The once-a-month acupuncture only relieved the pain for about three days. When the pain invariably returned, she would wake up in the middle of the night to look for medicated plaster or painkillers or use her fist to hit on the painful areas as a desperate measure for relief. Although it was not much of a relief, this would somehow make her tired so that she could fall asleep. Over time, this became her routine virtually every night. Especially when the weather was cold, the pain on her kneecaps and ankles would aggravate.
In January 2010, she attended our worship service on a Sunday. During a follow-up call made to her, she requested prayer for the infilling of the Holy Spirit. The pastor complied and she was moved to tears when she received the Holy Spirit and spoke in tongues. Geok Hwa was overjoyed as she had been seeking the infilling of the Holy Spirit for 10 years now, and she finally received it. However, she did not mention about her painful knee and ankle conditions during the phone conversation.
Subsequently, she attended the Miracle Service and was prayed for at the bone alignment prayer. One day in April 2010, as the weather was getting cold, her dad enquired about the pain in her legs. Then she realized that she had not experienced pain in her kneecaps for the past two months! She checked the calendar and recalled that her kneecaps were actually healed on the same day when she received the Holy Spirit. Since that day, the pain in her kneecaps was totally gone. She continued to pray and believed God to heal her ankles too. Whilst keeping faith in God, she also confessed the healing scriptures and His promises continually. God answered her prayers and the pain in her ankles soon vanished. Being set free from the pain in her legs that had tormented her for 30 years, she now does not wake up in the night troubled by the pain. All glory to God for the wonderful healing touch of Jesus Christ!
