A man wielding a kitchen knife killed a one-year-old boy and injured two other children on Monday morning in the southern province of Guangdong, Xinhua reported.
A posting on Xinhua’s Weibo account said the migrant worker, 23, attacked the children in a rented room in Zhongshan city. The injured were a girl, 10, and a six-year-old boy.
The account did not provide more details about the attack.
The mainland has suffered a series of knife attacks on children, mostly in schools. In May, a man with a knife wounded eight first- and second-graders at a school in central China. In April, eight knife-wielding men slashed at students on their way home, killing one student and injuring two in the northwestern city of Ankang.
