Man arrested for suspected molestation on MRT

SINGAPORE: The police have arrested a 36-year-old man suspected of molesting a female victim while on board a MRT train.
The victim lodged a police report at 8am on June 23, the Singapore Police Force said on Tuesday (July 15). Officers from the Central Police Division found CCTV footage of the suspect, then conducted extensive enquiries to establish the suspect's identity.
He was arrested on July 14, the police said, adding that investigations are ongoing.
Anyone convicted for the offence of Outrage of Modesty faces an imprisonment term of up to two years and caning.
