A 32-year-old man in Zhejiang, China, reportedly hated his mother's looks and refused to meet her when she came from her village to visit his newborn daughter.
The woman braved a long and tedious bus ride, bringing along some home cooked delicacy and hand-sewn baby clothes.

She was in tears when she related to passers-by that her son once said to her that "you are too ugly; stop coming and embarrassing me".
