Jennifer Glass's cancer battle was captured on film every day for a year and then made into a video.

The video titled, ‘A Photo a Day – One Year with Lung Cancer’ was shot by her husband from the day she was diagnosed to recovery and follows the dramatic changes made to Glass’ facial features, skin and hair, having gone through radiation and oral chemotherapy drugs.

Some of the side effects Glass’ experienced from her treatments were skin rashes and her hair falling out, but the side effects slowly faded as her dosage of drugs decreased. With the little hair Glass had left while on radiation and chemo drugs, she decided to shave her head, which is clearly visible in the timelapse video.

The 50-year-old also writes about her experience on her blog, revealing that the cancer “sucked the color right out of me. My form-fitting red dresses went to the back of the closet, replaced by soft, baggy clothes in blacks and blues, the hues of a bruise.”

She continues: “We had gotten married only four months before my diagnosis and were just learning how to be a family. This should have been a time for us to make plans for a bright future together. Instead, our newlywed year was darkened by cancer.”

Apart from the lump in her neck, she Glass says she “felt healthy, energetic, and strong.”

Although not in remission, Glass’ tumour is no longer growing. She is now passionate about sending messages of hope to people diagnosed with cancer.
