Answering an urgent call of nature at a petrol station caused a man to lose 5kg of gold, which he left in his Perodua Kancil, reported Kosmo!.
The victim was transporting the gold from a factory in Butterworth to his cousin's jewellery shop in Parit Buntar, Perak, when the incident occurred.
The incident happened at 8pm on Tuesday when the victim left the car for just five minutes to use the toilet near Seberang Jaya.
The 26-year-old victim was shocked to find the front passenger window smashed and the bag containing RM650,000 worth of gold missing when he returned.
CCTV recordings showed two men on a motorcycle arriving just after the victim left the car and taking the bag. Police have ruled out the involvement of the victim after taking statements from him and the owner of the jewellery shop.
