SINGAPORE - A 41-year-old man who had allegedly exposed himself to a woman along Canberra Road was arrested by the police on Dec 11.

The incident took place last week on Dec 5.

After receiving the complain the police had conducted an extensive investigation and ambush operations.

The suspect was finally arrested at Admiralty Drive at about 11.30pm.

He will be charged in court on Dec 13, and if found guilty he can be jailed up to three months and/or be fined.

SINGAPORE: Police have arrested a 41-year-old man who is believed to be involved in a case of obscene act at a Sembawang housing estate.

On December 5, police received report of a man exposing himself to a woman along Canberra Road.

Officers from Ang Mo Kio Police division then carried out ambush operations to apprehend the culprit.

On Tuesday, the officers spotted the suspect and arrested him along Admiralty Drive at about 11.30pm.

The suspect will be charged in court on Thursday for committing an obscene act.

If convicted, he could be jailed up to three months and fined.

Commander of Ang Mo Kio Police division, Deputy Assistant Commissioner of Police Keok Tong San advised that if faced in such a situation, one should remain calm, take note of the culprit's physical description and direction of escape, shout to attract attention, and call the police as soon as it is safe to do so.
