Bus driver who knocked down woman jailed

The SBS bus driver who caused the death of an elderly woman, Zhong Wen Qiu, was jailed for two weeks and disqualified from driving for three years on Friday (Nov 23) for causing death by a negligent act.
On April 3, Madam Chan Ah Yong, 55, was crossing at a signalised pedestrian crossing along Compassvale Road when the bus ploughed into her, dragging her for about metres before stopping.
She suffered multiple injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene.
