Teen investigated for false report

SINGAPORE- A 19-year-old teenager is being investigated by the police for making a false police report.
The teen claimed that he had been attacked and robbed by a masked man who was armed with a knife.
However, police investigations revealed that teen had allegedly lied about the attack.
If found guilty the teen can be fined up to $5,000 and/or jailed up to one year.
The police reported that investigations are still ongoing.
