New anti-theft bicycle racks launched in Nee-Soon

SINGAPORE - The Singapore Police Force (SPF), Chong Pang Constituency and Nee Soon-Sembawang Town Council have jointly launched the new security-enhanced bicycle racks during the Chong Pang Community and Emergency Preparedness Day.

The event took place on Sunday, Nov 11 at Block 126 Yishun Street 11 and an Anti-Bicycle Theft booth was set up by officers from Yishun North Neighbourhood Police Centre to educate residents on measures to safeguard their bicycles.

Police officers also demonstrated the use of the new security-enhanced bicycle racks to the members of the public during the event.

More than 70 new bicycle racks have been installed within Chong Pang and Nee Soon East Constituency.

The event was officiated by the Minister for Foreign Affairs Mr K Shanmugam, who is also Minister for Law and MP for Nee Soon GRC.

He launched the new bicycle racks together with Commander of Ang Mo Kio Police Division, Deputy Assistant Commissioner of Police Keok Tong San.
