SINGAPORE - Police arrested 71 people suspected to be involved in unlawful activities in an island-wide operation at various popular entertainment belts.
Checks were conducted in areas such as Orchard Road, Clarke Quay, Geylang and Raffles Boulevard from Saturday night until early Sunday morning.
Aged between 18 and 46, 26 males and 45 females were arrested for various offences including being members of unlawful societies, drug offences and vice-related offences.
Investigations against the suspects are on-going.
More of such operations can be expected over the upcoming festive season, said the Singapore Police Force in a statement.
