Two doctors fined for doling out Subutex freely

Dr Kong Kok Leong, 41, and Dr Eric Chong Yu, 38, are the latest doctors taken to task for freely prescribing Subutex, a medication used to wean addicts off heroin.
The Singapore Medical Council fined Dr Kong, $7,000, and Dr Chong, $5,000 yesterday. Both doctors have also been suspended from duty for four months.
