By Alice Chia | Posted: 21 September 2012 2307 hrs

SINGAPORE: Police have arrested a 42-year-old man who is believed to be responsible for stealing from vehicles.

The suspect was arrested on Friday at about 11.50 am near Redhill Lane.

Police acted on a report made on Tuesday of theft from a vehicle parked at a multi-storey carpark in Henderson Crescent.

Investigations revealed that he could be responsible for similar cases of theft from vehicles at Kim Tian Place and Lower Delta Road.

Police also seized a multi-purpose tool, which may have been used to commit the crime.

The suspect will be charged in court on 23 September with stealing from vehicles.

If convicted, he may be jailed up to three years and fined.
