A jobless man who posed as an Housing Board officer to cheat residents of a total of $2,930 was jailed a year and three months on Wednesday .
Thean Nyoon Wee, 51, had pleaded guilty on Sept 11 to cheating.
A district court then heard that he had conned 12 victims between March 9 and May 6, 2011 at Sims Avenue, Bedok, Ubi and Woodlands.
