Why must Buddhist Monk, Nun and Priest to be a beggar?

Buddhist Monk or Nun is a Buddhist who take ten precepts or more. (Uniform Red or Yellow or Orange)
Buddhist Priest is a Buddhist who take five precepts and trained to perform religion ritual. (Uniform Black or White). Doctor, Nurse, Lawyer, Engineer and Accountant who qualified had the right to perform their professional. Why Professional Buddhist shall be a beggar? We shall pay them for religion speeches, ritual and so on. Singapore Buddhist Federal shall issue licence to them. The price of their service shall be a standard list price.
