When Will PAP wake Up?

Patrick Lee has highlighted his brother's woes. The brother has been working at Cold Storage for more than 20 years but continues to get less than $1000 per month. Cold storage has ignored NWC recommendations and guidelines.

Many may point the finger at Cold Storgae. That's partly true. But the true culprit is the PAP because the PAP condones such exploitation of poor Singapore workers.

If businesses cant afford to pay a decent wage to their workers and have not corporate social responsibility, they shdnt be welcome in SG. If businesses are only out to make profits at the expense of Singaporeans, they also shouldnt be welcome in SG.

The PAP must legislate minimum wage in SG so that businesses make profits but not at the expense of Singaporeans. The PAP shd not liberally allow businesses to employ cheap foreign workers. There are so many implications and repercussions of such an unwise cheap foreign labour policy.

When will the PAP wake up and ensure that businesses do not profit at the expense of Singapore workers??

The 60% may wake up if they find themselves on the streets with no one to turn to. Unfortunately, Sinkies have shown themselves to be incapable of learning so it is quite possible that they will continue to vote to get themselves screwed.

Sometimes I do share your sentiments. But I like to be optimistic and feel that Singaporeans are finally waking up. I hope to see the great awakening at the next GE. many Singaporeans expect next GE to be 2016. But it can be earlier. So Singaporeans must be constantly alert and be prepared for the next GE...it can be in 2015 or even 2014.

that's partly correct...Some Singaporeans are afraid of the pap. They do not know that the pap shd be afraid of the people. LHL and TCH shd be very afraid of Singaporeans. They are the servants of the people. But they behave like masters of Singaporeans. They behave very arrogantly towards Singaporeans. Look at TCH's behaviour at the HG BE 2012 post election press conference. I saw a gangster not a statesman at the Post Election Conference
