Re: Car Respray in JB

1st you need to renew insurance, then bring your car registration card (and cash) to any post office. can be done within an hour depending on the queue in post office.

Sounds similar to the SG car renewal process

i think SG can renew online. then LTA will send the road tax disc to you, right? malaysia still have to go personally to the office.

Yes, need to go Post Office to Q for road tax renewal. As for insurance, can go the branch to renew, may save some % off the premium, also need to work out the Insured Value.

Use a runner or agent to do both also can, need to pay service charge ba.

It seems that many car brands having promotion, such as cash rebate, free servicing, free maintenance etc.

A good time to look at wheels now?

usually year end have promotion, since you are losing 1 year when you sell your car. there are a few ks different when you sell a 2012 car vs 2013 car let say in a few years time.

Thanks crystal, Thank you for your quick reply. I am ok, i buang the back of a lorry at a traffic light. Will not be claiming insurance so have to fix it myself at lowest cost possible. Just went over to a workshop and was quoted SGD1k+. My other alternative is to buy the headlight at the kia stockist and bring over to Malaysia to get it done, hopefully at half the price quoted in sing. I will call Ah Poo in advance. Thanks again.
