Three hundred years ago, Chinese were viewed as superior beings. All from north, south, east, west went to China to pay respects and tributes in the hopes of making some profits and taking some benefits. The fall of China from world premier military and economic power mostly hinged on lagging behind in one thing, steel technology - the western technological advancement that could make steel float and sail, fly and fight. It took Chinese more than a generation to get over it and get used to it - the idea that steel can be made to sail and fly. That accounted for the lag and lapse of China. Both PRC and ROC are doing alright now.
You know one thing that pisses me off is that ppl always harp and harp on the fact that china was weak 100 yrs back. Yes that's true. Those were turbulent times and china was under going many transitions. All old countries have gone thru those times. The UK had their own problems too like during the time of charles dickens and the war with france for eg.
Anyway ppl only focus on that period of time where china was weak and forget everything else. How powerful china was in the past and today china is powerful again and getting stronger but nope they don't pay attention to today's times. If not they would focus on how mongolia defeated china 800 yrs back but totally forget that mongolia is nothing today and were it not for the ussr mongolia would be a part of china today.
If you want to put the history of china into the life of a person. You could say that this person was a very brillant child during his kindergarten period and so on. Then suddenly during his psle he lost out to this kid (mongolia) but afterwards he managed to outshine this kid he lost to during psle onwards. Then when he grew up he got into some trouble (early 20th century) But he managed to overcome his problems and now is going towards the brillant path again (china from the 70s till today). What if ppl keep on harping on the fact that he lost to this kid during psle and the part of his life where he encountered problems and ignore everything else?
Just like mongolia they still talk about genghis khan and he's the only person that ever brought them glory. That's it nothing else. While you can choose from a whole plethora of chinese ppl to look up to like confucious, yue fei and even mao zhi dong.
Just pay attention to what i have written and you noticed ppl only mention the bad times of china which is outweighed by all their good times.
Recently a Japanese magazine posted conceptual photos of the proposed Japanese F3 Shinshin stealth fighter shooting down a Chinese J20 stealth fighter, along with photos of a proposed aircraft carrier. The F3 Shinshin also known as the Mitsubishi ATD-X, is a concept stealth fighter seen as Japan’s answer to China’s J20 stealth fighter but is not expected to be fielded until 2033.
Likewise, Chinese netizens displeased with the destruction of their prized fighter took action by using Photoshop to create their own fictional scenario of a J20 shooting down a Japanese plane.

Chin are hopeless, they could draw F-3, but no.

In Korean War, US and UN troops had weapons at least 20 years more advanced than PRC and NK. What happened? Fought to a draw only. Remember, PRC and NK at that time didn't even have navy or air force. India and Vietnam settled in a couple of weeks all the way almost to the gates of Delhi and Hanoi. What happened? PRC not interested in conquest of these countries, just restoring borders encroached upon. PRC chased the British out of Tibet too. That's why every once in a while when US or UK ran out of topics against PRC, they start ranting on so-called Chinese invasion and occupation of Tibet and trying to stir up dissent there. Hello, Tibet has voluntarily subordinated to China for centuries. It was the British who invaded them during Chinese weakness and got kicked out when China regained strength. They use their media Nazi and PAP style to paint a picture of Tibet being occupied and oppressed by China. The Taiwan equation is admittedly more tricky, any attempt at invasion would mean all-out war against US, Japan and SK. Stuck at a stalemate without any solution.

I saw what happened in San Francisco when I first arrived there. Two hundred years ago they shipped a bunch of Chinese pigtailed slaves in cargo shipping cages and unloaded them onto Union Pacific railway works. One hundred years later, the Chinese owned more than half of SF prime real estates, particularly Chinatown, Richmond and Sunset districts. The whites have to pay them rents, work for them and draw wages from them. Don't need what fuck F15 or F16.
Singveld comparison of aircraft technical superiority actually proves my point. In WW2, ROCAF was supplied with some of the most backward aircraft that US intended to scrap anyway. Yet, their pilots were able to beat Japanese off the skies. That was important because KMT was bogged down on two fronts versus CCP and IJA on land war. Japan, regardless of land and naval superiority was stuck in a stalemate since they couldn't gain air superiority. They also couldn't commit to a showdown as they had to recall lots of aircraft and pilots back to the defence of home front as US was gaining momentum from south Pacific northward.

F#3 still not photo or prototype that can fly. So just anyhow use F2 la upgrade version of F16 make in Japan.
J-20 china plane barely just flew only a few months ago. It is cartoon, you can draw anything you like.
